The hammer falls forward, applying pressure to the firing pin, which taps the anvil, triggering the primer cap, flash fire burns through the web, gas expands forward, propelling the ogive at 800 feet per second, the grooves spinning it through the throat of the barrel, 5000 revolutions per second, the muzzle pulls back from the shock wave, the recoil latch catches the rim of the shank pulling it backward, the spring within the magazine forces the next bullet into the chamber as the slide folds back over the ejection port, casting off the spent shell. Do it again, leave no one alive.
